Craig Downing has produced internationally recognized films for a variety of clients. Craig was the commercial film equipment manager for Iceland's Sagafilm where he supported feature-length productions (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), music videos (Björk--Mutual Core), television (HBO's Game of Thrones), and commercial productions (Subaru). Craig has also produced impacting documentaries for NGOs in regional "hot spots," including Haiti and Central America.
Craig has produced commercial content for Amazon, Lonely Planet, The Discovery Channel, and the Seattle Department of Transportation. Craig also served as the festival founder and director for Couch Fest Films, curated films for the website Short of the Week, juried for the Oaxaca Film Fest, and was a short film programmer at the Seattle International Film Festival.
Currently, Craig produces content for University of Washington and directs commercials and music videos.
To help support new filmmakers, Craig develops film production curriculum and teaches at Seattle University, Olympic College and Cornish College of the Arts.
